What is crooked nose surgery?

Many people concern about re-deviation following corrective nose surgery. However, distortion and reoccurrence are caused by inappropriate surgical methods that are not adequate for crooked nose reconstruction. 1. Nasal Septum Repair

Separate upper lateral cartilage from nasal septum, and then realign the upper lateral cartilage by spreader graft.

4. Lower Lateral Cartilage Repair

Rearrange the lower lateral cartilage and fix to columellar strut to rebuild your nose to a more symmetrical shape.

Precautions of Crooked
Nose Surgery

1. Internal and external noses are connected. Thus, it is highly possible that the internal nose is crooked if the external nose is crooked.

Nasal septum deviation of the internal nose must be repaired in order to prevent reoccurrence of crooked external nose and nasal congestion.

2. If only the external nose is reconstructed, the repair is not complete, which may cause reoccurrence of crooked nose and more serious nasal congestion.

Because the nasal valve may become narrower, septoplasty must be done together with the crooked nose reconstruction. Nasal valve reconstruction is also needed in many cases.

3. The crooked skin shape would still remain even the supporting structure of the crooked nose is corrected.
